Who Do You Want To Become? (Part 2)

How do we truly become the person God created us to be? I believe one way is by meditating on The Truth of who God says we are and believe The Truth. What is the best way to meditate?

The Word of God gives us the secret to meditation. In Joshua 1:8 it says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success”. (NKJV) God tells us exactly what to meditate on in this verse – His Word.

What is the benefit of focusing on His Truth? We will make our way prosperous and have good success. If you desire to have a prosperous and successful life, then remind yourself throughout the day what The Truth says about you.

We will become what we think about day and night. Proverbs 23:7 reveals a truth about who we are becoming, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he”. (NKJV) Earl Nightingale said, “We become what we think about all day long”. You may wonder why you are not the person you want to be. Take a close look at what you are thinking about during the day.

Finally, let’s take a look in the New Testament and see what God says will happen when we continue to meditate on His Word. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”. (NKJV) The word “transformed” comes from metamorphosis.

A good example is when a caterpillar is transformed into a butterfly. The same thing happens to you when you continue to focus on God’s Word. Your life will be totally transformed. In fact, your life can change so much, that others won’t even recognize you.

So if you truly want to become who you are meant to be, find out what God says about you and meditate throughout the day these truths. When you do, your life will never be the same.
