Hi,

I just wanted to share a little testimony with you, earlier this year Feb 25 One of our church Pastors was teaching about stepping out in faith, that morning through my closet time with the lord, the lord clearly spoke to me from Exodus 3:10 “So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt”

later that morning in church our pastor spoke from this very scripture and said she is taking a contingent with her to Srilanka, will I procrastinated for about 3 more weeks before being promted by the lord again to make a descision about going to Sri Lanka.

So anyways I said through prayer lord if it is you speaking to me about going to Sri Lanka from here in New Zealand, Im going to ask you to bring it to my attention today, that Sunday we had a visiting Pastor from out of town as he was sharing in service he walks towards me and says, my brother its good that your testing the lord, but know this he is sending you on a mission to a distant land.

That afternoon I put my name down for Sri Lanka, at the time I had no money to pay the $3500.00 needed to pay for the trip which was due by no later than Friday that week.

You know I went home prayed and in my prayer I used mark 11:24 and asked the lord to pay the bill, this was sunday, I got given my itenarary on Wednesday and it was due to be paid Friday by 12pm lunch time, come Friday still no money.

But as I got home from walking my dogs, there waiting for me in a car was an elderly man who looked about 75+, I work with at risk youth and I thought this man was at my home to see me about some troubled grandson or something, any ways as it so happened I had his grandson in my care 12 months earlier, and this man turned up to thank me for the good influence I had on his grandson who is now serving in the armed forces as an officer.

This gentleman was so greatful he not only said thank you he handed me what I thought was a thank you card, when he left and as I walked inside my home, I opened the card to read what was inside and in there was a bank cheque made out to my name for exactly $3500.00.

Ive never seen this elderly man or his grandson since, I have just recently returned from Sri Lanka and I can say that when we are in line with Gods will he always gets what he wants, we just have to learn how to be used by God so we can journey as his partner ready to be used.

I thank you lord for the blessings I have recieved and the ones that are yet to come, and I pray that as you read my testimony may you be blessed today also.

Hey Jeff! Thanks for the article. It was just what I needed for perspective. I’m coming on the anniversary of my father’s passing. Two years ago this Wed. It’s really tough. I’m not greiving, I just miss him. But, i know God’s love will see me through. He did last year. Thanks man! Talk to you soon.
